Brecon Beacons National Park is one of the best holiday locations in Wales, offering a range of activities such as hiking, fishing and water sports. The Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages brochure is an important piece of marketing to the area’s tourism, advertising the majority of its holiday properties available to rent. PGA created a new design for the 2010 brochure, structuring the accommodation around the number of beds per property. Each section is colour-coded, making it easy to navigate. A new template was created for each page to ensure that the different sized adverts fitted correctly. Colour balancing was used to check each individual photograph, ensuring high quality throughout the brochure.

With over 250 properties, the design and production process was complex, with a lot of text and images involved. To overcome potential difficulties, PGA worked closely with the client throughout the project; both using PGA’s web extranet to work from. This enabled PGA and the client to keep track of the stages of the project.

The client was extremely pleased with the outcome of the brochure, which was published on schedule for a pre-Christmas direct marketing campaign.
